dont get an acer netbook unless your paying under 400.....you can get a fully loaded laptop from HP or Dell for around 500-600 these days.

I was gonna get myself a Dell Mini netbook and decided to go all out and bought the MacBook Pro....netbooks are very limited and theres no point in buying a beefed up one when you can get a regular laptop for a bit more money.

unless of course size is an issue, then go for it,

^^^ compaqs are junk too. hp isnt a great company so why want their cheaper sub-brand?

its doubtful anyone here would notice a difference between 1.6ghz and 2.2ghz processor

whats more important is L2 cache (and RAM), everybody will notice the speed affected by this. 925's laptop has 1mb L2 cache, this isnt terrible but its not good. my laptop has 2mb which was great for a laptop when i bought it over a year ago but my next will have at least 4mb or 6mb.

if you have vista you want at least 2gb of RAM, next speed factor is the speed of the FSB and the RAM. all of these will be more noticeable than processor speed.

to review for a fast system
1. L2 cache
2. RAM
3. FSB/RAM speed

fixed. and really it should be $300 tops for any brand netbook unless size matters and you need the added features, like HDMI.

i've seen the acer brand netbooks on sale for under 240 brand new at best buy
