Its real different. the sound quality is significantly worse, the beats are RobLo instead of Lev Berlak, and the lyrics are way more "murda murda kill kill" on Savage Times than Thug Deluxe. On Savage Times there's more tracks, more intensity to the flow, less laid back tracks, less songs talking about relationships, and no introspective tracks like "This Town.

My opinion is that if you want to hear an A-Wax CD that is more gangsta and more intense than Thug Deluxe, get 65 G's in a Jordan Briefcase. The sound quality and music quality are much better, in my opinion, than Savage Times.

peace.

THE RE-RELEASE IS TIGHT PLUS LIKE FOLKS SAID IT GOT TRACKS FROM 65 G'S.....SOME TRACKS WERE TAKING OFF SAVAGE TIMES FOR OBVIOUS REASONS IF YOU KNOW THE HISTORY. BUT THEY ARE TWO WAY DIFFERNT ALBUMS. YOU SEE THE GROWTH AND MATURITY OFF WAX AS AN ARTIST WITH EVERY ALBUM. PEEP OUT WAX-FASE ON THE UPCOMING CONNECTED INC MIX TAPE CHOPPED & MIXED BY DJ RAH2K!

I would say thug delux cause wax has grown alot as an artist, but savage times is vintage wax, I would say back then he SOUNDED more hungry, even though his style changed anybody who works as much as wax is still very much so hungry than ever.

i agree with what most people are saying...savage times is much more uptempo and agressive. thug deluxe is laid back and mellow. Savage times is more like 65 g's....Thug Deluxe is more like Conceptz and Contradictions. I dunno if you've heard those. anyway, i've liked all of wax's releases, but he's really evolved over time...each album is real different.

Thug Deluxe is a better album. For the mainstream audience. Savage Timez OG version is a classic, A-Wax came hard with his first album-the re-release is a great collector's album for all you A-Wax fans....2 CD's make it worth buying-lot's of good tracks from the Who Got It?! Comp, 65 G'z, and Savage Timez..........
