Having seen the e-40 and too short videos on tv already, i'm both proud and excited but i'm just wondring if anyone realizes that to capture a wider based audience [out of state wise] some of these videos should show the "real" bay area, one which i've come to know and grow up in where you can catch all types of people entrenched in this bay area culture. All types meaning all different nationalities, ages, sex etc. there is a reason why the bay movement is so damn strong around here, it seems like what started with hood block party like activities has turned into a phenomenal club and party culture in general.
I'm from an older generation but remain rooted with what some of my favorite artists back then are doing today. Just a thought because most recently i've been hearing people already start second guessing where this hyphy shit is headed, some people have lost confidence simply because of some soundscan #s and lack of video play on primetime programs. That bothers me because I know this shit is no where near its full potential both state/nation wide maybe even worldwide. I hope our artists can really show why others should/can embrace what we got to offer, like the ambassador says its good party music for the most part with alot more depth to the music then people might ever know.
