You remind me of the End of the World Cult, where some guy in the late 70s convinced thousands of christians that the end days prophecies were being fulfilled and that the end of world/rapture would occur in 1981 and etc.. etc...
Well anyways these people began celebrating and looking forward to every world disaster that happened, and actually started hoping and praying for evil catastrophic events so that they could finally be "saved".
Long story short... it was all fake and they were all ashamed of themselves for being tricked into hoping and praying for EVIL. Doesn't sound very Christian, in fact, it sounds very sadistic, twisted and diabolical.

Heresy, do you claim to be a prophet then? You come in here rejoicing after every catastrophic event, desperately hoping for terror and evil to reign so that you can be "saved". With what you perceive as some esoteric knowledge only a few people know about saying things like, "Did you hear? another 100,000 people died, surely the Time is near! I can't wait!"
If indeed these revelations are currently being fulfilled, then let it be. Who is to be saved, will be saved. Now, when you look at the people who DID think "The Time" would come in their life times you would have to look at the political, cultural, economic AND technological climate at the time and see why they thought as they did. Also, you would have to take a look at ESCHATOLOGY and refer to God. 300 years ago people thought they were in the end times, however did they pay attention to Israel being restored? No because it hadn't happen yet. Did they understand the mark of the beast and a global currency? also a "hurricane" weather condition is what the NOAA calls a tornado. However tornadoes are on land thus do not have the same effect as tornadoes do because they do not grow over water but they grow over land. This just looks like a mere coincidence. Hurricanes cannot have the same magnitude over land as they do over water, tornadoes do not travel thousands of miles like hurricanes. Sorry to burts everyones bubble.
