I do believe that.
Watch Vice guide to Liberia.

That shit is powerful. You will see evidence of how religion plays a big role in an uneducated society. Then I think if everyone was educated equally and had the same chances we would look at the bible and koran ect as a great books but not be fanatical about it and try to hold grudges like little children stuck in the dark ages.

oh nah, what i meant by that was in my previous post i mentioned i wouldn't respond to dana's post-posts. reason being, i wasn't trying to turn it into one of THOSE religion topics that lead into arguments. same with THOSE politic subjects.

but i agree with you on a certain level. i forgot who said this, but the saying went something like, "the reason the world today is so fucked, is because the lack of belief. back in the ancient days where people worshipped gods, or be killed, it still made the people closer and not act out in a ill manor (majority of the people, obviously). teenagers these days have no real sense of a belief system to the point where they are fearing the God who demands to be feared, or he'll plague you."

Ignorant people of any color need religion for a basis in reasoning, I can see how it can be powerful to people who never picked up a bible before and are curious. Eliminating religion will only make retards worse, unless everybody is equally getting a high education. Religion is just another way to teach right from wrong. If this is the only way some people will get morals then so be it. In some cases its the only way vice guide to liberia's general buttnaked showed this.
I undertsand the point about morals you are making and agree with it, but it really shouldn't take organised religion for a person to use common sense, humility & respect for one another.
