@ AllBayIan, It's cool Homie I can't knock your hustle, but the word "LEGEND" is some hard shoes to fill and a hard act to follow. I see what you doin' & it's all good, but in a sence you puttin' Homie in between a rock & a hard place with that comment.

The reason I think most cat's shit on threads such as this is becasue that type of hustle is played out Homie. Everybody see right through that... Everybody sayin' they're album gonna make that difference and none have really lived up to the hype.

Be positive, keep it simple & bring it hard without sayin' too much. The people themselves will make it happen if your music is that good. The fans will be the ones sayin' it's fire yada yada yada...

Now a days IMO, word of mouth will grip somebody harder than any advertizment sayin' that album is the next hottest thing. Let the music speak for itself.

Read the blueprints and follow in the footsteps...

The Akon & Lil Scrappy albums are solid all the way through and yet, they didn't over do it on the promotion...the people/fans are makin' em' number one.

And if you think i'm lyin' about the Akon thang Homie...ya betta check your bitches car, cause I'm already knowin' her, her friends & their little sisters got it...LOL!!!! j/k

Only bay legend is Too Short maybe E40 in 10 years. Nobody else had done anything to put this area on the map like that.
Maybe E-40 in ten years ? Is that right ? Putting the area on the map is not the only requirement to being a legend. Step it up.

i feel ya'll but hey maybe i oversell my products, but at least I dont pick them up until I A&R them first! But yeah he def. got the talent to make it happen and hopefully this guy can get as much of a stride to do this as possible. I think lyrically and the way he drops his 16's I feel like he has a better chance than most.

"Doc False" wow you're hella funny and witty. If you gonna post some bullshit like you just did tell me how i'm wrong then. How is my opinion false. Sensative ass hoes on siccness. The rest of the country considers short a legend. Dont nobody consider 40 one. Explain how i'm wrong or you'll continue to look like an idiot.

More proof this board is filled with dumb fuck children. Who gives a fuck what you think. Go back east and call 40 a legend and watch what happens. Scarface/Ghetto Boys-- Yes
Rakim-- Yes
UGK-- Yes
Too Short--Yes
Dre--Yes
Run DMC--Yes

promoting somebody like this usually doesnt bode well for the rapper, especially if he isnt anywhere near as good as hes hyped up to be.

I think he's talking aboy Dr. Dre, and naw, niggas is trippin if they say 40 is a rap legend. He's a local legend and respected veteran, but as a legend you have to pioneer a movement(that lasts) and/or provide something very very big to hip hop. Rapping for over 20 years wouldn't hurt either. But I say if the hyphy movement can get to a point where it gets bigger than crunk(since he exposed it, and will go down in history as the one to do so), or where he can last in the game for a few more years and still be relevant, I'd call him a rap legend. But seeing how Hip Hop has been slowly dying since 1995, it's hard being a legend. If you notice, all the people considered legends have been putting it down longer than 40 has, so naw, 40 ain't up there yet.
