i wasnt even trying to get into the stats...willis has waaaay more of an impact on a game than does tatupu. can u even argue that???
but if u want to look at stats then look at everything, dont just do it hella selectively. how are u just going to ignore the 143 tackles...shit willis has more solo tackles (111) than tatupa has total and he is doing it in a 3-4 defense. and the 4 interceptions aint shit...3 of those came in 1 game against a backup qb. If willis wasnt playing with a club in his hand for most of the season, i bet he would get some ints.

Thats your opinion bra! not mine!! And I said he is most likely the best in the NFC!! If not he is in the top couple in the NFC for sure!! Name me 10 CB's in the NFC u think are better!!! A. Harris is coo but Ive seen him get shitted on, Newman rarely has a bad game! I mean he may give up a catch here or there but never give up ass!!! Yes, I can. Lofa is the captain on D and makes all the calls for the front 7. Do you think its any coincidence that Seattle is second in the league in sacks? Or has one of the better defenses all around? He puts players in the right positions to make the players. He is the QB of the defense...and he is only 25!
Who said i ignored it? SF doesnt have the impact players on defense that Seattle has as a WHOLE. Seattle has one of the PREMIER LB cores in the entire NFL...do you expect Lofa to have 140+ tackles when you have Leroy Hill and Julian Peterson right next to you? How about Trufant, one of the better tackling CB's in the game? Or our editions of Grant and Russell, who have been ALL over the field since they got here? DO i even need to bring up Kerney, who is 2nd in the league in sack? No one said Willis' 111 solo tackles WERENT imporessive...but tackles are only a FRACTION of what you look at in a player. Would you send a LB to the pro-bowl who had 250 taclkes...but NO FF, NO INT, NO SCK? He could be getting the tackles 10 yards AFTER the RB broke the line of scrimmage.
Alos, its been proven that Willis' 3rd down impact has been less than stellar all year. Someone posted the stat last week...if you want, i can dig it up.
And? All that means is Lofa OWNED that QB and put him self in position to do so. Also, having 9 PD's in a season for a MLB is very nice...thats more than alot of starting defensive BACKS in the league!
How does having a club reflect his PD's though? You would think that he would getting more of those. Remember, if you dont CATCH an INT, its a PD, so your argeumnt holds no water. What about FF? Lofa has more of those too.
Look, im not taking anyting AWAY from Willis...he is going to be the next great young MLB that you see for the next 15 years, but Lofa is just as good if not better. Lofa has been in the league for 3 years now, making all the calls on the defense...Willis will have PLENTY of oppurtunities to be the starter in the Pro Bowl.
You act as if its the end of the world becuase he aint startin...and takin away credit from Lofa becuase YOU are a 9ers fan.
