50 Cent has made it clear about the status of Young Buck, one of his artists who has had a shaky relationship with the company for several months.

50 Cent revealed today [April 7] that the Tennessee rapper was no longer in G-Unit the group, but would still record for the label.

“You can look at it and see that’s Game [former G-Unit rapper] all the way. I was giving him a chance, giving him the benefit of the doubt [to remain with the group]. You can take this as an official notice right here – pretty much you can say: Young Buck is no longer in the group G-Unit, but signed to G-Unit [Records] as a solo artist,” 50 Cent told DJ Envy, a co-host on the Hot 97 Morning Show with Miss Jones.

Most recently, Young Buck revealed that he had not collected any royalty income as an artist on G-Unit Records, a subsidiary of Interscope. Those reports were quickly dispelled by Sha Money XL, manager of Young Buck, who said the rapper was “waving the G-Unit flag strong.”

“There has been a new rumor going around that 50 Cent has not paid Young Buck any royalties," Sha Money XL told AllHipHop.com. "I, as Buck’s manager and as former President of G-Unit Records, want to make it clear: that is false. Young Buck has cleared over $10 million dollars working under 50 Cent’s and my guidance.”

Young Buck, born David Darnell Brown, was expected to appear on Shoot to Kill, the follow up to G-Unit’s 2003 debut album titled Beg For Mercy.

Young Buck once was to lead the charge for 50 Cent’s G-Unit Sout imprint. Instead, the rapper started Cashville Records and signed rap vet C-Bo and The Outlawz, who were a part of Tupac’s inner circle of emcees.

But has also started David Brown clothing to supplement his rap offerings.

50 Cent and The Game initially parted ways, because the Compton upstart wouldn't assume beefs with Nas and Fat Joe that the rest of G-Unit had declared.

stupid on 50's part tho.....he's their biggest artist besides 50, buck would've brought more listeners to the g-unit album, unless this is just for them to sell more mixtapes by dissing each other

Not really bc Buck is still on G Unit records as a solo act. Maybe this has something to do withn Buck signing C-BO bc remember that that long ago C-Bo was talking mass shit about 50 on them diss tracks. and also Buck hanging with Wayne and we all know 50 been taking shots at Wayne the last year

I hope Buck leaves G-Unit Records. Fuck G-Unit. Those faggots suck, Buck was the best one by far.
And now he is rollin with C-Bo and The Outlawz? This may be the start of some music that is actually good. I am expecting some fucking dope shit from that crew.

foos aren't checking for banks & yayo, buck brings listeners into the g-unit album.....I know 50 will still be caking off each release, but it was stupid to take out the most marketable person besides himself from the group album he's releasing

Cats are still def checking for Banks but Yayo is a different story. I agree with what 50 is trying to do. You just answered your own question above when you said Buck brings listeners in. 50 is trying to get them other artists(yayo, hot rod, banks) out there like teh last G Unit album did for Young Buck so they can drop sucessful solo albums. Bc Beg For Mercy established Young Buck. Anyway it goes 50 wins so I doubt he really cares what anyone thinks bc he the type of person who does shit his way or no way.

Bucks gonna need a huge budget(50 Cent or a parent label) to get them cats back in the game properly bc they gotta prove themselves again to the new crowd or listeners remember this not the 90's anymore. IMO Outlawz will do just fine bc they known for they brother like realtion with they mentor 2 Pac and all Pac's fans will be they fans and support them. But C-Bo on the other hand gonna have a long road ahead of him on the mainstream level.

I thought C-Bo was pretty well known, but I grew up in Cali so that is probably why.
I always thought he was on a mainstream level.
He was a sucessful boss back in the 90's on teh underground level. Naw he wasnt never really quite Maninstream. He mightve had a video(Birds In The kITCHEN) on public access every now and then but he was never on MTV or B.E.T on consistent rotation
