i have a 4 minute cutthoat soup style of snippets of the album and it sounds hella clean

I got that on a disc somewhere, sounded like some Syko beats and he had a track on there that sounded like "My Opinion". He had an interveiw in Murder Dog where he said he had recorded like 4 albums in Alaska

I would add that the ability to pick good beats (and reject the weak ones producers give you) should be included in the criteria used to assess MCs

A good MC should not be judged by beats at all. Either you know how to put together words, rhyme, use metaphors and similes....or you dont. Riding a beat properly is only about 5% of assessing any good rapper. I would rather listen to a dope MC on a wack ass beat, than listen to a HORRIBLE MC on a dope beat any day. Otherwise, what the fuck is the point?

And this just strengthens my point. I personally think Berner is a terrible MC. However, he does rap over dope beats. Somehow, people equate him with being good because of this. His beats have absolutely no bearing on his ability (or inability) to be a good MC.
