I consider him a Bay Area artist. But he's really like a worldwide artist feel me. But shit Afeni was in the Panthers and that's some Bay shit. So even if he wasn't born in the Bay his influences were Bay oriented.

ok and the commentator on inside the nba was just asking charles barkley if he likes things from the bay and he was like you don't like oakland, you don't like ghiradelli chocolate, you don't like Tupac.
Close thread.

He went to HS in Marin City, so I say that's where he's "most" from, but the question of whether he's a west coast or east coast rapper is laughable, of course he's a west coast rapper.

Pac rep's where he stayed and felt at home. so i consider him a west coast rapper just in general

On the money.

Pac was also hated in the Bay over some shooting that involved a 16 yr. old at one of his concerts. Being shot at Quad studios in NY, he felt NY hated him or had also betraded him.

The Death Row / L.A. era (for Pac), he felt he'd finnally found home where he was embraced by the people for repping their city.

The best 2Pac DVD released (other than Ressurection), is "Thug Angel" to my knowledge...the other DVD's are whack (or not as much heart felt detail).
