Oh ok.... Hey, if Brooks screws up then he should be replaced. But he's gotta screw up first.

And about the Broncos.... I don't have much to say bad about that team because I think Mike Shanahan is one of the best coaches in the NFL (top 3 for sure). But we'll see what happens when they play this year.

Broncos fan yes, but also NFL fan and I can take the homer glasses off and the Raiders still look the same!


Any Raider fan saying that Brooks is an upgrade and will mean the difference in 4 5 6 more wins is fooling themselves. That is more homerism than me saying Brooks isn't an upgrade.

Oh it will happen. Early not later either....but will the team make the right decision?


My answer is no. Dead Al over there doesn't understand the concept of sitting players when they are not playing good, he would rather have them look bad all year then cut ties at the end of season...it makes no sense! The Raiders had a good thing with Chuck and company, but he let Chucky go for nothing and the team as sowen thier true colors ever since.

And again as for Shell being the answer, I just don't understand where all that talk is coming from. Not 1 single team in college or NFL looked to him in his time off, but all of a sudden he is the answer to cure the cancer that is the Raiders?

That like saying well Reeves was awesome for Denver back in the day, maybe we should get rid of Shanny and bring back Reeves....uhh hell no!!!

Art Shell is a good head coach. He got them to the playoffs back when he was coaching and he didn't have this much talent. Now he's back and he emphasizing running the ball i.e. blocking. He's a former offensive lineman with previous head coaching experience and a SuperBowl ring as a player. Art knows the games are won in the trenches and that's where he is starting. The Raiders are back!

And about the QB situation..... A lot of Raider fans want to see what the young cat Walter can do. So if Brooks screws up too much, he'll be replaced. But I don't think Brooks will play bad enough to get benched for the season. He had pretty cool numbers before Katrina hit NO. Just playing with those receivers should help him and the team out. That is good that nobody is expecting the Raiders to do anything. Every year a team that nobody expects to do good, makes the playoffs.

Then who will it be? The Niners? Cardinals? There are sleeper teams in each conference..... Look out for Detroit in the NFC and the Raiders in the AFC.

I don't know about that..... Culpepper has been looking pretty good. In Minnesota he didn't look good without Moss.... but he's in a new environment now (different city, team, coach, turf, etc...). From seeing and hearing how he has recovered from his knee injury... things are looking pretty good in Miami.

We already know the Pats will be in the mix somehow. I think Miami will get in with a wild card birth.... Jets? No. Buffalo? I don't think so.... so that leave Miami and the Pats fighting it out.

In the AFC West.... we know the Broncos will contend because of their superior coaching. It's wide open between Oakland, KC, and San Diego.
