Simplest way to copy your image whether from a website, another psd whatever. Then go to your text layer and ctrl-click it, you will then see the text selected. Go to edit > paste into ( I think, don't have PS open to verify ) and the image will be inside of the text like it's masked off. From there you can still resize and shit.

scratch that i was hitting paste not paste into so yeah it works

Just make it a clipping mask, paste in the pic and press ctrl+G.
