thats the problem with making these long ass lists, songs WILL get left out

since you mentioned JT... i'd also like to add "dwellin in the lab" to the list...

and how about the coup "fat cats bigga fish"

the first time i heard of guce was when they played "western bay playas" on sway's show (10 o'clock bomb) on KMEL back in 1995.... how many of yall remember that? king tech had a similar show (7 o'clock bomb) on 92.3 (100.3) The Beat

yeah, there will always be shit forgotten....

The 10 o'clock bomb was the shit...then on fridays you'd have the wake up show back when it was good....whenever I was home I'd have my cassette deck ready with record paused waiting for the next freestyler or new song to play

The 90's was about originality in production. Only the cream rose to the top. Back then the artists had to seek out the real producersand actually had to break them off. Now instead of payin' for the real you got every Tom, Dick, and Harry, tryin' to make beats and givin' 'em up for free just to say they did a track for a known artist.

Why the fuck would an artist bother paying real producers when he can piecemeal an album together with free tracks from several wanna bees? Why you think these artists that have been in the game for awhile don't fuck with their original producers? Cause a real producer is gonna get paid what he weigh, that's why, and some of the artists just got greedy and didn't wanna share the wealth.

Another problem you got is that the albums today have so MANY producers and artists on them that there is no continuity. Used to be you could pop a tape or CD in and not have to fast forward past boo boo tracks cause the album was made by one solid producer or production team, and the shit bumped all the way through. Shit today sounds rag tag and mismatched. listening to an album from the past was almost like watching a movie... the albums were a complete concept whithin themselves. Complete works of art with all tracks matching the mood set by a lone producer or production team.

Hopefully THE KONGLOMERATI will bring some balance back to the bay sound when they start droppin' shit in 2008.
