there are actually some very expensive digital SLR cameras with much higher resolution capabilites (still nothing like the photos in those youtube videos though). for example hasselblad makes several 50 and 60 megapixel cameras; they cost between $20,000 and $29,000.

and apparently leaf actually makes an 80 megapixel camera for a mere $32,000.

for more of a bargain though, nikon makes a 24.5 megapixel camera for $9,999.95, and a 16.2 megapixel camera for $1,199.95.
