SALT LAKE CITY -- Authorities say a Utah man was arrested after his two children called police to report that he had marijuana in the house.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports the man was charged Tuesday with two third-degree felony charges of child endangerment and one class B misdemeanor accusing him of possession of a controlled substance.

The man's name wasn't reported.

The newspaper says the man was found to have 23.9 grams, or almost an ounce, of marijuana in his Salt Lake City home.

Authorities say his children, ages 13 and 12, found the drug and called police.

Really? I mean, really? The fuck is wrong with this country. The prosecutor that charged him probably has a bar full of liquor at his house around his kids but having some weed is child endangerment. Get the fuck out of here.

I think all those commercials in the 80's and in combination with D.A.R.E, had quite an opposite effect on me. I remember when DARE would come to school and talk about all the effects of certain drugs and I just thought "wow that's awesome!"

dont know about you guys but at about 11-12 was the time when i started pinchin nugs from mom and dads sacks and gettin high with my boys.. those were the days where you'd really get baked and just zone out thinking some dumb ass show was the funniest thing you've ever seen and a bowl of raisan bran was the best thing youve ever ate.

Ummm, no. The number one rule is don't live in a city run by faggot ass mormons that will arrest your ass because you're smoking a joint. My kids are gonna know from early on that I smoke weed. I smoked around my ex's kid--who I helped raise from the time she was 4 until she was 14--and when she figured out what it was, I had an honest discussion with her about it. Its exactly the same way alcohol was dealt with when she started asking my ex why she (the ex, not the kid) drank beer.
