Is that what they're doing? Exposing the truth? It looks to me like cats were trying to get paid off of unfortunate incidents. That's just me though. When it comes down to it, rappers don't know anymore than the average person. They aren't privy to top secret information and they never will be. Everything they say is speculation, unless they work for the government and know first hand. And at that point, they should give up rapping.

I think you might need to read this.

http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.html

The government would gain NOTHING from blowing up the WTC. They knew it would fuck the economy and it makes no sense to do that. But read that link, a lot of professional statements in there.

As for the post...I'm sure a few of those artists don't give a fuck either way and they were just looking for publicity.
You know what bro, it just might be you after all , like you said.

Looks like your mind is made up , but it's made up on the wrong side of the equation.

As far as rappers not knowing anything more than the average person, that's a slap in the face to yourself , and all of the people who support you and look to you for your view on world issues and Foreign Policy , if you have any.

You know , it's funny........lol, America..... In 1787 at the Constitutional Convention , Virginia Delegate George Mason can get up and say , regarding slavery, " Providence punishes national sins by NATIONAL CALAMITIES".
He's considered a founding father of our government (actually , the Iroquois were) and people vote republican/conservative and defend "Patriotism" with people like him as a point of reference.

But when the hip hop community (yourself included) says the exact same thing regarding slavery, which , if YOU knew any better IS FOREIGN POLICY?

Now all of a sudden, "We don't give a fuck either way , we don't know anything more than the average person , we work for the government ( by the way , in a true democracy WE are the government),we're just looking for publicity , tryin' to get paid."

For the record, you didn't say anything negative about sheen or the Dixies either.

But you're right about one thing , maybe I should give up rapping.

Peace.

There's only a few rappers on that list that I listen too and they have been speaking on things that have come to pass years before they came into fruitation. Paris & The Coup to be specific. If you do your homework you will know that there is no way these artists speak against the current Government's Fallacies for personal gain. They are passionate about their beliefs and have a right to express them. I check them out for what I do relate too and am fine with the fact that I don't agree or relate to some of the content. It is that way with every human belief system on this planet. As far as people eatin off of tragety simply for a meal ticket: I would never support that.

Looks like your mind is made up , but it's made up on the wrong side of the equation.
No, I just tend to lean towards the side with more solid evidence. Everything conspiracy theorists have stated has been countered with actual evidence by professionals...NOT EVEN THE GOVERNMENT, but professionals...scientific and non.

As far as rappers not knowing anything more than the average person, that's a slap in the face to yourself , and all of the people who support you and look to you for your view on world issues and Foreign Policy , if you have any.
Don't twist my words. You know what I was saying. Rap artists are not privy to top secret information. That's not a slap in the face to myself, that's me not being arrogant enough to think I know everything.

My fans don't listen to me or support me for my views on world issues and foreign policy, I'm not running for public office. My fans listen to and support me because I speak real shit that directly affects us HERE! I'm talking about shit going on in our own streets. Not conspiracy shit, not 9-11 shit, but shit about the 13 and 14 year old kids getting murdered at alarming rates throughout our country. With all of our problems HERE, I'm not pigheaded enough to worry or speak about world issues...it starts AT HOME! You as an artist should know that.

Was this a question? if so, it wasn't clear.

Now all of a sudden, "We don't give a fuck either way , we don't know anything more than the average person , we work for the government ( by the way , in a true democracy WE are the government),we're just looking for publicity , tryin' to get paid."
I'm sorry, but for somebody to come out of the woodworks with some shit having to do with 9-11, shows their agenda. If it wasn't, covers would be different and the words would do all the talking. About us not knowing more than the average person, like I said, when it comes to government information, NO, we're not more informed than the average person. You're twisting my words around. I didn't say we work for the government, I'm saying if you know these things to be FACTS, you work for the government. If you don't work for the government, you don't really know the facts. Only the people that were THERE know what happened. Like I said, go read that link I posted...there's a valid counter for everything theorists believe.

For the record, you didn't say anything negative about sheen or the Dixies either.
This thread wasn't about Sheen or the Dixies, was it? If they believe they know more about 9-11 than everybody else, they're also full of shit. Period! If you work for the CIA or FBI, then yea, you might know more. If not, your FACTS are only OPINIONS! The counter claims, like I've stated, were made by professionals who know demolition, seismic activity, how a building falls and why it falls that way, "pancaking", jet fuel, how a plane works, etc. etc. Most conspiracy theories are made by people like you and I who don't do that for a living and aren't considered EXPERTS in any of those fields.

I support artists that do what they do because that's who they are, but I don't support artists that try to eat off tragedy either. The Coup, they had their cover BEFORE 9-11, and changed it after 9-11...kind of a good gesture to show their intention was not to make money off a fucked situation, even though the idea was there before it actually happened.

Paris, good artist but what was the point of his cover? To show that he'd destroy the white house if he could? Why not have a tank? A bomb? Or have a picture of him fully loaded walking towards it? Because a plane added that shock value that would get some attention with the media (which it did). I mean, do what you do as a rapper, but let's be real about what an album cover does...

A MUTHAFUCKIN MEN!

Let's be real, how many rappers are strapping bombs to their chests and blowing themselves up in the name of something they TRULY believe in? NONE! If they were about the same principles, they would be out there blowing shit up OR at LEAST speaking on the government in a more public forum than rap music....I'm talking about PROTESTS and shit.

About the Italian Mob Boss thing, I couldn't agree more with that either. It's cool for a dude to call himself some Italian shit, but if I were to release a record under the name HUEY NEWTON, I'd be a fuckin' target and a phony. How does that work? I mean, I'm Italian, and I don't even compare myself to Italian bosses. To have that kind of power (pay off cops, politicians, etc.) is UNHEARD OF where most rappers come from...so let's be real here.
