Mayorga proved to be too small for the division.
I had him ahead until he started getting tired in round 4.
Hell he even dropped Tito in round 3.
But Tito being the better conditioned of the two began landing clean punches on Mayorga who was having a tough time puttin his hands up.
Mayorga took it like a champ though, Tito was able to drop him with a hard left hook to the body.
Then finished off Mayorga in round 8.
It was a good fight while it lasted.
Expect to see Tito against De La Hoya next.

I say he fights De La Hoya, but its going to be interesting to see if he's willing to fight Oscar at a catch weight. I don't think Oscar will fight him at 160 lbs.

Migg i do agree... i know Mayorga aint done yet homie... As for who Trinidad will fight next... i say he will fight DLH for the big paycheck...and im NO DLH fan by any means, but i will root for him on this one no doubt. he doesnt want any piece of B-hop at his weight...he's already proven to be king p4p.
everyone had tons to say about titos weak chin and mayorgas rock hard chin but in the end tito touched the ground once with his hand when he got hit alittle off balance and mayorga went down 3 times and got the fuckin hands put on him for a minute.... mayorga may have the better chin but hes no where near the better fighter

LOL! To all them fools who though Mayorga was going to win. He got whipped and left the ring without giving an interview or congratulating Trinidad. What a poor sport. That fool had a huge cut under his eye and a busted nose. That fool got whipped. He fought hard but still got whipped. He was getting tagged with power shots through the whole fight. I don't see how anyone could of had Mayorga winning this fight even from the beginning. He was getting tagged with power shots. You have to respect Mayorga because he went down swinging, he messed up by exposing his chin on purpose. The thing about him is he doesnt dodge and hide, after mopping up Vernon, he went after top talent and has paid the price with his recent losses but he always puts on a game performance. best of luck to him.
Dammit, I really should've had it the closest. I said his speed went to shit after four rounds his last fight. The only reason he made it passed the 6th round is kuz that was the round where he said he had a low blow, and after the amount of time he stood there trying to catch his balance, he came back sticking Trinidad till the bell. Where if the ref wouldn't have counted it as a low blow, Trinidad probably would've dropped him and won the fight. I believe it was the the 8th round (maybe the 7th) when Mayorga tried to call another low blow, and the ref made him keep fighting. And I think that's when he lost the fight. But for real, Mayorga can take a lot of fuckin punches, hard punches, and lots of uppercuts too. That motherfucker is going to end up retarded taking punches like that, I mean, that motherfucker doesn't even BLOCK! I'd say that was the best fight I've seen so far this year.
