Im guessing that explains the wide angle. I need me one of those asap. My shit is an 80-210. Extremely slim shots.

18 mm aint really wide angle, its like on the border, 50 mm is perfect for portraits. My advice to you is get a 17 - 85 mm and a 10 - 20 mm ... perfect setup with lenses right there.

most of the time the "all in one" lenses are not as good ... likethe 50 mm option in the 17 - 85 mm lens is not as good as the lens that got 50 mm only
