Oh don't get me wrong...IMO they are two of the best albums ever. The thing that makes me like Aenima a little more is that the title track is my favorite song ever, of any genre , hands down...and I listen to lots of genres of music. If you took Aenima off of Aenima I'd like them...

For sure...I know a lot of people (some personal friends) who out right HATED Lateralus when it first droped. Don't ask me how but they did lol. Now everyone I know besides me and my one friend think Lateralus is their best work (IMO Aenima is.) Nuttkace

I agree with you 100%...but I think you (I mean no offense by this) and some of the others who don't feel it too much are looking for something they have heard in their previous albums to grasp on to. Jambi and Right in Two though I personally think is up there with some of their best work...

Yeah Layne Staley passed away in 2002 from a drug overdose (big suprise.) He died eight years to the day (April 5th) that Kurt Cobain passed away. It's such a shame that Layne got so wrapped up in heroin...he was an amazing singer and artist. You should check out those two Alice in Chains...

Did you check out Pelican and Mogwai yet DeceptaKhan? If not I think you should...I have a feeling you will really like them. Check out Mono (make sure it's the Japanese group though because there is like five other Mono's and don't worry there is no singing lol) too. Oh yeah and Sigur Ros...

Yeah check out Tool's catalog like Cranky said. I'd start with Aenima and then Lateralus. Acctually even 10,000 Days (would be a good one too) Undertow and Opiate are great cd's but are quite heavier. But Tool has a lot of melodic break downs and Maynard has both one of the softest at times...

Pick up the new self titled album then Smallski. I guarantee you will love it.

Hahahah...I just popped two Xanax's (shut up I'm prescribed them lol) and listend to this cd all the way through...then listend to Aenima. I was loving it. I liked 10,000 Days right off the bat...but now I fucking LOVE this cd. But that could also be the Xanax talking...I don't think so though.

I absolutely love Wings for Marie/10,000 Days. Especially 10,000 Days...when Maynard starts singing about his mom passing it is really eerie/beautiful. You can hear the pain in his voice. Plus Jambi...that is the fucking cut. Some people have stated they don't like the repetitive guitaring...

I just went for a stroll around my neighborhood and put the new Pearl Jam in the cd player. It is up there with Ten now I think after listening to it a few times. Severed Hand is a fucking awesome song. I had to get out of Tool mode for a little while. I'm about to throw 10,000 Days back on...

Yeah I love Ten and Vitalogy. Vs and Yield were alright to me...the songs on them were kind of hit and miss. Lost Dogs is cool for what it is as a collection of b-sides, rareties and songs from their club mailing lists. I kind of worded what I meant wrong. I meant I really don't see this...
