I don't think they will ever surpass Full Collapse but I really like this new album a lot. They took a turn with their sound and tried some new things but it still has that classic Thursday sound as the basis.
Easily going to end up being one of my favorite albums of the year and much better...
Tyler and Earl each got nominated for some MTV Online awards or something like that. Yeah, not really too big of a deal but I guess that's pretty cool too.
I guess this song is called Dat Ass and was supposed to go on that Kitchen Cutlery EP he was going to release when he went by Sly prior to joining Odd Future. Sage talked to Tyler about releasing the song (that video/song is on his youtube account) but then said it's not happening.
James has done some darker stuff himself but yeah I do hear what you are saying. I don't think they made him go for that sound though but you might not have meant it like that.
It still baffles me on how much quite a few people read into some of the stuff they say both on and off record. It's a bunch of pretty talented kids fucking around and making some really dope and refreshing music for the most part. I hear a lot of negative stuff about the god disses, 666...
Want to become a sell-out? Just ask Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator. The group’s eccentric frontman told Paper magazine his tips on how to properly capitalize on one’s musical success by selling out, outlining the 10 steps to shredding all credibility. While his suggestions may...
Yeah all the tracks on Numbers are going to be numbers. That shit was dope. lol @ Left Brain sporting neon green board shorts though. One of the best quotes I saw on a different board was "These n*ggas hella raw but why do they look like they just got back from a trip to Sea World?" That...
A little old but Odd Future on Fantasy Factory would be hilarious and looks like it might happen at some point...
I wonder if Rob was the one who built them a mini ramp like Tyler said someone did a little while back.
And...
They have a few Waka inspired songs in general. Fuck the Police and Igottagun by Mellowhype have that influence as well. I'd say BSD is more influenced by Lil B on the fact that's pretty much just nonsense though.
