you can definately hear the bay influence in some of the music that's came out of KC... and it never sounded too much like bay music, but alot of us older bay heads can fuck with it like it fits in perfectly... shit like rich the factor, bohn, deco d, fat tone, that 50 mc's compilation, etc...
