I would assume it's off his next album Hustla Style. This is one of the best songs this dude has ever made, and he's made a lot of them. What do you all think?
Does anybody have the full version of it...
There's a DMS from Seattle that I know of, but this album has a track called Huskie Country that's an anthem for Northern Illinois University, so I was thinking they are a different group and are from the Midwest. Anybody know anything about these guys?
Is this album by the DMS from Seattle? Supposedly this album dropped in 2006, I had no clue those guys were still making music together, but I have a feeling it is a different DMS b/c there is a song called "Huskie Country" but it is an anthem about Northern Illinois University, not the UW...
This is indirectly related to NW Hip-Hop, I really hope I don't have to explain why. Anyways, so we all know the vast majority of rap music comes from black people from black communities. I posted something awhile back about black people in Seattle-Tacoma MSA & Portland MSA (the only places in...
Great song by the way, and even better video, great imagery of Memphis.
Clearly this is a sample, does anybody know? If you have the album, it probably says in the liner notes.
Bone samples a lot of Art of Noise, but this track is different. Clearly an old soulful tune, I can even identify the chorus for you:
"It's too late to be concerned, so the story goes that you live and you learn well well well"
Anyway here is an mp3 of the Krayzie Bone track:
Krayzie Bone -...
This is a real good cut I got off of a soundclick page a while back. It was posted along with a lot of other industry tracks, so I know it's a major artist, I just can't figure out who or what album it is from.
Track is real good though, I'd highly recommend downloading it and bumping it. If...
A very good MC from South Carolina, I just don't know what city he's from? Anybody know? You can download a track of his here, it's hot:
Gritty - Shawty
It is playing on the background of track 13 of Mr. Jakafella Vol. 1. (which I got from that Requests thread)
The words go "they say we lawless, this dope game shit is all we know, they say we lawless, these midwest niggaz still ain't stoppin etc etc etc they say we lawless etc etc"
THIS TRACK...
I don't know if this track was ever released on one of their albums, but it's damn good. And it's clearly sampled, so D/L this good song (which features Notorious B.I.G. by the way) and if you happen to know what the sample is, let me know.
The chorus goes "if you're going to call me a liar, I...
Anybody know a Courtney M. Smith. Supposedly the news reported this guy was a rapper, showed a picture of his album cover, dude was from Bellevue. I don't know a Courtney M. Smith.
A lot of folks on here, esp. folks like Nonstop & Young E.A.S.T. (that's a very cool sig you've got there with the C.A.Y.A.), talk about this gentrification problem in the NW. It's going on everywhere but it's particularly bad up here. I've been doing some research lately involving income and...
Something I put together awhile ago, finally got around to posting. Features 51 tracks, one from each state including the District of Columbia. Intended to showcase the tremendous volume of American rap talent outside the traditional 5 or 6 rap markets that produce 95% of what we consume...
