Yeah.. I'm really considering gettin a Mac real soon and wanna know what's needed to run a decent home studio? Do I *need* a sound card? What kind of Mac do you have and what are you running with it, hardware and software? I just want to be able to use my same behringer mixer and oktava mic on...

Anyone here using a mac and using a specific recording program? Which ones are good and easy... something similar to CoolEdit cause I've used to the PC cooledit... good lookin out.

I'm lookin for all sorts of good popular effects like the effect where your voice sounds like you're on the phone.. etc.. are there effects like this in cooledit? i know there are a few included with cooledit but they sound generic.

What I've been doing most the time for doubles is just recording softer vocals on one track and putting it on 2 separate tracks, panning one all the way right and the other all the way left. This technique has worked fine but I wanna know if anyone has better ways and tips?
