Krallice / Wolves in the Throneroom / A Storm of light tour is a must see for me when it comes through. And while I'm not really into The Haunted, having Intronaut, Nachtmystium and Kylesa opening is going to be amazing
Checked out Boris last night... pretty incredible show I thought and reminds me of how much quality music they put out so regularly... their drummer is a fucking trip too
i have most of their releases.... but i have only listened to them a couple times each
definitley quality stuff but there's too much good music to listen to these days to really spend alot of time with most albums, i'm sure you can relate
1. the clash
2. jesu
3. isis
2 of the 3 are relatively new bands but i've been listening to rock music all my life and no other bands have made an impression on me like the above
Van Halen and Hall & Oates are up there as well
..if we wanna take it out of the rock-realm The Isley Brothers...
I just got back from seeing Baroness and Genghis Tron... and it was pretty fucking awesome ............. i was suprised at how well Tron pulled their set off.....I really gotta get out more: I don't know how I missed that Torche / Nachtmystium / Borius show a couple months back
Yeah I'm not really into straightforward black metal but the original bands tend to appeal to me. If you haven't checked out Nachtmystium you should.... their last 2 albums are fucking stoner/rock-n-roll/psychedellic black metal
Thanks for the Shai Hulud link.... my friend keeps telling me I'd like them but I'm kinda skeptical since there are very few metalcore bands I can get into.... I gues it's time to check it out
^^yeah i saw the thread and i thought to myself ' i would probably buy it if i was a vinyl guy but i don't even have a turn-table' (something i should probably finally consider) lol
and i agree OMG are great and I look forward to up-coming music from them
as for Monster Magnet...'Dopes To...
Thanks for the tracks. should be interesting although i generally don't like covers
as for the new album..i bought it a couple days ago and think it's a cool record but at this point it is probably my least favourite, as I think their second and third albums are by far their best work. I...
Earth is just one of those bands that I kinda say 'Boring' or 'same old, same old' every time a new album drops.....and then I listen to it for a month straight and it then stays in regular rotation for a couple years after. I haven't not played Hex or Earth 2 on a weekly basis
in the last 2...
amazing album. I appreciate the link and will probably buy this. I have 6 Earth albums and this could be the best. It's very similar to their last two releases but with a little bit more going on
I prefer the last two albums moreso than their debut and I never cared much for ATDI but Mars Volta are certainly one of my favourite bands out right now.
I'm not gonna check the leak yet though and will pick it up when I come across it
Both are pretty unique bands so it's hard to think of many. The Angellic Process and Nadja share alot of similarities with Jesu and I would recomend them. I would also check out Swans while you're at it, if you haven't already
