Cotto nearly got sparked in his retirement fight.

He was my dog. Always brought the drama. Pre-Margarita he was a force for sure.
Happens to the best of them. Unless it's a true bum "retirement fights" so often go sour since the fighter already has a foot out the door and you can't be anything less than 100% commited when it comes to boxing.

Great career though, hall of fame for sure.

Anywho... with a great win from Crawford earlier this year to unify all titles, to Loma embarrassing one of the greatest boxers of all time, why are people so offended if they have either one of those fighters 1 or 2 on the p4p list? You can have either or at #1 and there shouldn't be a problem, right? but I've noticed that race has become a huge issue in debating who is #1. I'm starting to hate a lot of these youtube boxing journalists because they kiss way too much ass and use race as an excuse if Crawford is not #1. And then there is the fact that PBC still holds back a lot of their fighters and still have a lil bit of a post war syndrome with HBO. And the most recent topic which sparked a huge buzz on social media was Dan Rafael comments on Loma would give hell to Floyd if not defeat him at 130. why is that such a big deal? It's an opinion just like a p4p list. Why is he racist for just saying that? And this whole #newmedia bullshit going on with these "boxing journalists" is just stupid. If you guys care to respond man cuz I'm trying to bring life back to this bitch

2017 was a great fuckin year for boxing---the best fighting the best....or an mma fighter...or an Australian....

I don't post on other boxing forums for the same reasons you mentioned. But I saw a topic---Who had the biggest fall from Grace: Kovalev, Chocolatito, or Rigondeaux ? what you think?

As far as the p4p debate and boxing analysts---On one hand theres no denying that critics have racial bias to SOME degree, even if only subconsciously, you can usually put together their history of fight picks and rankings and whatever their ethnicity is and see which type of fighter they tend to favor-- Prejudice is our nature.

All That shit is irrelevant though because 1. Boxing Analysts have to back up their opinions with facts and logic to be taken seriously. People who argue for Loma point out the names on his resume. The case for Crawford is his unified champ status.

and 2. Whatever is said about a fighter will not effect the outcome of the fight. If you look at racist ass Jack London writing about Jack Johnson back in the day, none of that shit he wrote could save James Jeffries from getting beat to a pulp.

Chocolatito hands down. He was legit #1 or #2 p4p and he got dropped on a rematch. If anything he should have known what to do to beat Rungvisai.

Kovalev is still legit to me. He fought Ward very well the first time and on the rematch neaither fighter showed me anything that impressed me. If anything it made Ward look bad and kind of proved Kovalev right in terms of USA biasness. I mean, he should have got a 10 count but you don't stop the fight like that.

And Rigo just fucked up. He should have accepted the terms back when Loma was at 126 or he should have just moved up to 126 and not cared about fighting Loma. 126 is still legit.

I know what you mean and I agree to an extent. But I'm talking about the new school reporting. Especially since people are doing a lot of youtubing now a days. Like ESNEWS kisses a shitload of ass now its insane. And both Dontaesboxingnation and Boxingego are hella quick to use race as a way to win an argument or persuade people that they are right in everything they say. Boxingego actually blocked me from one of his chats because I told him I agreed with ODH that Spence Jr would be a bigger star if he had a promoter. If we disagree that's fine, but he responded by saying who is black in the GBP roster? He's right but what does that have to do with Spence being promoted. If ODH wants to sign him then where is the racism come into play? And then he starts posting up a shitload of videos saying Loma is scared of Rigo, and now doesn't give credit to Loma for his win. He literally brings up Loma on every video even if the topic is not about him. Its just a damn shame that this is happening.
