I think everyone agrees that Broner's fucked off during his career. What I'm saying is that you positioned yourself so either way the Garcia/Broner fight plays you're gonna get on here and say that you're right.

No I didn't. all I said was now we get to see Mikey test himself. If Broner comes out and really is the best Broner out there then Broner should win easily.

People actaully think Broner can win?
I'd give McGregor better odds.

Mikey is way too technical for Broner's fraided shorts jive jiggy bullshit.
Garcia KO 9
But its not about being too technical either. Broner does have skills. He's just not as disciplined as he should be. Size is what is going to make a difference and Broner's power is no joke either. Broner hurts most of his opponents and even dropped Porter. He can do it but its all up to him.

Gervonta Davis getting a fight with Orlando Salido sounds like a good way to aim him at a fight with Vasyl Lomanchenko. I like that....

...what I don't like is Lemieux passing on a title fight against Billy Jo Saunders to wait for a fight with Migeul Cotto.

Davis isn't even fighting Salido. It should be Jack co-main eventing not Davis. Jack is way more of a proven fighter and is moving up in weight class. Davis is no where near willing to fight Lomachenko so there is no need to hype him up.

Tim Bradley Announces His Retirement From Boxing

By Timothy Bradley

There always comes a point in life where we have to make choices that no matter how much we know the right option, it still leaves us filled with mixed emotions.

I have spent the past couple days trying to find the right words to describe this point in my life and no matter how long I sit and reflect, I still don't know if these words can do my thoughts justice, but I'm going to do my best to open up my heart and share with all of you during this pivotal time.
It is no secret that a life of any professional athlete is not an easy one- yes it comes with a lot of fame and fortune but also comes with fear and fatigue. A balance that has to be achieved by ambition and maintained through perspective.

For over twenty three years, Boxing gave me purpose and it defined me. Dedicated to my craft and fueled by my passion for the sport, my love for my team and my admiration for all of you who supported me day in and day out-- I was able to give 100% of myself to be the best and to always get up when I was knocked down. It was the biggest challenge in my life but I embraced the sacrifice with every victory and milestone reached.

Boxing gave me roots, it kept me off the streets, it gave me confidence, it taught me how to be a man and face every challenge head on and take the good with the bad. Yes I missed holidays, birthdays, even missed hearing some of my children's first words but more than time, it took my blood, sweat and tears, all things I can never get back. Which is why turning the page for me is bittersweet. That once in a lifetime purpose to wake up everyday and give 100% is now fueled towards something else- my family. I find my strength in them, my peace and most importantly, unconditional love.

I wake up wanting to spend all my time being a father, being a husband and being free. Although that square circle I lived to dance in everyday gave me so many smiles and blessings, it could never out weigh the smiles and blessings I receive from my wife and children. It's now my turn to support them and encourage them to live their dreams and I couldn't be more excited for this next chapter. I hope to continue to allow boxing in my world through teaching, commentating and being a fan of a sport I love so dearly.

And to you, the diehard fans, man, it's been one heck of a ride. The bumps, the bruises, the peaks, the valleys, the days I didn't want to get out of bed and the nights I couldn't sleep....So many occasions where my heart, mind and soul were tested but with every challenge there was hope and there was all of you...giving me the courage to fight another day and do what I loved to do.
I can never find the words to convey how much I appreciate all of you and how truly humbled I am by the unconditional support the past 23 years, Thank you. Thank you for cheering me on when I didn't deserve it, loving me most when I needed it and for being my heartbeat to keep going day after day. I am the man I am today because of you all.

Andre Berto is trying to join the UFC. Could definitely see him do well fighting 135'ers. (I know he fights at 147 in boxing, but the 145'ers in UFC cut from like 170, so it would probably be in his best interest to fight at 135).

A lot of the UFC 135'ers in the top 15 stand and bang. If he gets some good match ups with strikers he could be decent.

Former world boxing champion Andre Berto wants to compete in the UFC: ‘Dana White, call me!’ - Bloody Elbow
His brother fought MMA a while back and I think I remember them saying his dad had some kind of grappling background. Not sure how much Andre got into grapping himself, if at all.

I'd be surprised if Berto could get down to 135. It'd be a bad idea IMO to try and cut more weight than you've ever cut to compete in a brand new sport.

Not only his brother, but his sister is or was an MMA fighter too. He's from a fighting family essentially and he's the only boxer if I remember correctly while the rest were/are involved in other combat sports, his dad was a kickboxer.

So I can see why he would want to, especially since his Boxing career doesnt have much left of a future. Worked out well for Holly Holm who had a similar situation (good Boxing career, started to decline and money was drying up, went to MMA and obviously got a massive win over UFCs biggest star at the time).

But I hope the fans who are left who that are still about boxing vs MMA (usually UFC specifically), who shit on boxing because they love MMA or vice versa, start to fade away as we see more fighters compete in multiple combat sports, and just accept all combat sports and that fighters can learn from them all.

Again worked out well for Holly Holm
McGregor just made around $100 million

Maybe Berto can win a significant fight or two. Although I think he's way too bulky and not athletic enough (or flexible), remember when he went blind when he tried out the shoulder roll? lmao

(Still my favorite Boxing meme)
