A lot of the oilsands camps are about an hour north of fort mcmurray and some of these camps are "dry camps" meaning you aren't allowed to bring alcohol, those camps fucking suck. So you get oil sands workers driving to the mac to get drunk as fuck then drive back to camp.

Then if there is a shift change you got dudes going 160 on the highway and passing slower vehciles when there is little to no visibility because it gets foggy as fuck up there.

yeah i dont get the reasoning behind it. The only dry camp I stayed at was on an air weapons range. Now that I think about it, it's kinda strange they were developing an oil project where they drop bombs. But whatever.
