I watched that other movie that writer did, Dark Places with Charlize Theron. Kind of a dark story that would've been better with a better director. Gone girl easily could've been terrible. I think Fincher got the most out of the story and that chick played a good lunatic

Just got done watching a Showtime documentary on Warren Jeffs and the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was really well done but that shit was disturbing as fuck. Like families would just straight up give up their wives and daughters to the church elders who would have 20+ of them, marrying kids young as 12, banishing hundreds of male members when they hit their teens through twenties so they wouldn't marry the girls in that age range, shit was crazy.
