I think GGG needs to fight in no particular order, Ward, Canelo, Cotto, Lara. I wanna see his big drama show against Ward! Remember this is boxing so you can fight other people that are better in weight classes right next to yours. Especially if its a big fight and better competition. Got Em!!
Czar, so you are telling me the only middleweight you want to see GGG fight is Cotto? Again, what middleweights do you think he should fight?

^^^Ward is currently fighting at the "Chavez junior" weight class of 172 pounds, maybe if Ward wins he can fight the current and lineal Chavez junior weight class champion Fonfara.

In somewhat related news, looks like the GGG/Gonzalez combo will continue and Segura decided he would like to have brain damage.

Roman Gonzalez-Giovani Segura in Play For Aug/Sept

By Ryan Burton

Multiple sources have advised BoxingScene.com that a clash between three-division champion Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (43-0, 37KOs) and former two-division champion Giovani Segura (32-4-1, 28KOs) is in the works for August or September.

Our sources in the United States and Nicaragua cautioned that the fight hasn't been finalized but an agreement is expected very soon.

Gonzalez made his HBO on Saturday and blew out former champion Edgar Sosa in two rounds on the Gennady Golovkin-Willie Monroe undercard.

Segura last fought in September when he was stopped in 11 rounds by Gonzalez's rival Juan Francisco Estrada.

Our sources indicated there is a possibility that Gonzalez's next fight will also be on Golovkin's next undercard.

That's shitty. If the money is there with HBO why make a fight with Segura? Segura looked terrible against Estrada and recently lost to the guy that Gonzalez just crushed.

Make an Estrada fight or a fight with Ruenroeng who's already fought on HBO against Shiming and make a unification fight. Considering the division and I'm sure they're not breaking the bank for them they can set up Ruenroeng then Estrada for a complete flyweight unification. Hate to complain against Gonzalez fight on HBO though.

Not sure what happened they were just talking about Estrada after the fight. It's been like two days.

"I want to fight [unified flyweight titleholder] Juan Estrada next," Gonzalez said. "I want to fight him as soon as possible, and hopefully on HBO and in the United States."

I answered the question how it should be answered. Got Em!!
You mentioned Cotto who is campaigning at MW. None of the other fighters are campaigning at middle weight. You said GGG is fighting bums, so im asking you what MIDDLEWEIGHTS, that aren't bums, should he fight? Mind you, GGG is a guy who fought amateurs as a light middleweight and middleweight, so we don't need to discuss him moving up or down unless you are saying he needs to move up instead of unifying the titles. If his goals are to be the undisputed MW champ why does he need to do that?

Cotto is campaigning at middleweight since he's defending his middleweight title against a middleweight in Daniel Geale. He has absolutely no intentions of fighting Golovkin though and he's only holding on to that belt because it's leverage in negotiating with Canelo and/or Mayweather. Cotto owns what everyone wants.

Anyways, yeah Golovkin has made it clear and stated numerous times now his goal is to unify the middleweight division, it's very important as it should be; middleweight is one of the most decorated divisions in boxing history, to unify all the belts is to have your name alongside some of the greats, the last being Bernard Hopkins.

I would like to know who is contracted with Haymon and for how long? Or if Any PBC fighter's can just fire haymon if they please. If Lara leaves Haymon, imagine what HBO can do for Lara? They probably would have hyped him up enough to where he would have gotten a Mayweather shot before Maidana did.

Dude people say GGG is the next big things in boxing and now he just needs big money fights or big fights period than it aint in the MW division accept for Cotto who I mentioned. Other than that he needs to fight the other names I mentioned so he can continue to get bigger and get paid what he's worth since hes this next big thing. Thats all I am saying. Got Em!!

Pretty sure they just want to hype up Gonzalez more on HBO by knocking out bums and eventually getting that big fight maybe next year

So what you're saying is the MW division has no competition for him and that he shouldn't worry about unifying the belts right?

Why not Canelo? That's the biggest fight for Golovkin.

That's pretty ridiculous. Golovkin can only fight who is available to him, been saying that. It's not his fault the division isn't full of Marvin Haglers. Same boat Rigondeaux is in - he doesn't want to move up in weight so he's stuck with what there is in his division. GGG and Rigondeaux are grown ass men, it's not like there 21 years old and still growing.

Imagine if Hopkins moved up in weight half way through his historic middleweight run because he couldn't get any big names or unification bouts? That's what some people were saying he should do. Don King had two title holders, three at one point, and wouldn't let them near B-hop. But he stayed patient, beating all the top ten guys for YEARS and eventually at the age of 36 got his shot against Trinidad. Ended up with 20 title defenses. Well, Golovkin is at 14 title defenses (we can argue the legitimacy of one of those belts but title defenses are title defenses), he's cleaning out the division consistently knocking out top ten guys while waiting for the big names and other title holders, just like Hopkins. I'm sure Canelo will be his Trinidad.

By beating Cotto he would be the lineal champ at MW and that would be enough and time to move on. Got Em!!
It could. There would still be two other belts out there. It would be ideal to be lineal and unify at least 3 out of the 4 belts.

Besides, we all know Cotto isn't going to fight him. So the best we can hope for is Canelo vs Cotto, Golovkin vs Andy Lee (for Lee's title), Canelo beats Cotto and then fights GGG for all the marbles! (the last remaining belt would be whoever the David Lemieux vs N'dam winner).

I think that's the best, realistic scenario for Golovkin. After that move up if he wants and fight Ward. Really no one else at 168 either since Froch is going to retire (he'll have one more fight not against GGG, his promoter and Froch both already said they won't fight GGG). Dirrell, DeGale, Groves, eh...not that enticing. Ward fight will be dope though end of 2016 or early 2017. There are also some up and comers from 154, 160 and 168 that could be names by then too
