I believe the media is making a bigger deal about the shoulder than Manny and his camp is. He made a simple statement that he was injured, he never said he would have won if he was 100% No one is ever 100% and even if Manny was he still would have lost.

Who knows. Maybe he would have lost even worse since he would have felt he was OK enough to engage. I wouldn't be surprised if a healthy Manny losses by a wider margin if they fight again.

The medication that article is referring to is an anti inflammatory and a numbing agent injection, basically an attempt to kill any pain/discomfort during the fight. Same shit NFL players do every game, but they fucked up by not requesting this before hand. I'm guessing Pac felt it was fine, but the day of the fight he started feeling something and that's when they asked. Still that's on them, they should have been safe and put in the request just in case so they dropped the ball on that one.
yeah I figure it was cortisone shots. but if he was training (with a cuff tear) off of cortisone, he def fucked his shit more. that shit don't heal nothing. and cuffs take weeks to heal naturally. he couldn't of healed it if he was training it. it could have only got worse.

WSOF’s Ryan Ford suspended six months for failing to disclose broken arm | MMAjunkie

"The Edmonton Combative Sports Commission has suspended WSOF welterweight Ryan Ford for failing to disclose a broken arm he suffered prior to a losing effort against Jake Shields in WSOF 14’s main event.

ECSC Executive Director Pat Reid confirmed to MMAjunkie in an email that Ford is suspended six months and has 14 days to appeal the decision.

In a text message to MMAjunkie, Ford said his suspension is retroactive to the Oct. 11 event date and added that he will not contest his punishment.

“What’s fair or not fair doesn’t really matter,” he wrote. “It is what it is. It’s funny cause guys go into fights always injured. They have said it after fights in interviews (that they suffered) broken hands, ribs, nose torn, knees. Do they get suspended? Maybe not a broken arm lol but that’s the difference that separates me from others.

“(I’m) not going to appeal. Six months is six months. I have time to heal and recover and fight in the new year.”

Following WSOF 14, Ford revealed in a video that he had injured himself while sparring and said WSOF officials were unaware of the issue.

Ford (22-5) submitted to Shields (30-7-1) via rear-naked choke in the first round of their headliner at Edmonton EXPO Centre at Northlands in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The event’s main card, including the Shields vs. Ford headliner, aired live on NBC Sports Network (watch the Shields vs. Ford video highlights).

Ford’s loss snapped a six-fight winning streak that culminated with the WSOF Canadian welterweight title in February.

Shields, meanwhile, earned his first win since a decision loss to Hector Lombard at UFC 171 that let to his ouster from the promotion. After a shoulder injury forced him out of a July WSOF debut, he made his promotional debut against Ford.

Did Donarie use the same shoulder excuse after Rigo schooled him. Lol. Things that make you say huh. Alex Ariza already broke down Mannys look shoulder scope surgery. Lol. I lost all respect for Manny. HBO and Skip Bayless had them Manny fans really believing the hype. Manny didn't even make Mayweather get out of first gear. Lol. 81 punches landed. My shoulder hurt but you told Max you won. Lol..

I'm scared of needles in 2010 to duck Money , now in 2015 I would've done better the the needle. Lol. This was too easy Mayweather robbed the bank because of troll hype. Now we know why Manny didn't want known of the Mosley treatment in 2010. A sore loser and a coward just like his troll fans.

Manny is just number 48 to Floyd nothing more.

I don't think Donaire made any injury claims after Rigondeaux. He was more like Rigondeaux was running yada yada yada (even though Donaire himself was on his bike last couple rounds with his swollen shut eye). He said he hurt his hands twice prior (in wins but not looking spectacular).

With Pacquiao's injury the commission stated they asked for the shot and anti inflammatory and were rejected so that's the proof right there he had an injury (and the reason he could get in trouble for not disclosing it). Its not the reason he lost though and it shouldn't be used as an excuse. I agree with Rumpelstiltskin that the media/fans are making a bigger deal of it than they should. Fighters fight with injuries all the time.

Why would Pacquiao need an inflammatory shot BEFORE the fight...when he claimed he was feeling good up UNTIL the 4th round? Look at him throw the warm up combination right before the bell sounded for round 1. He never grimaced during the whole fight.

Here is a business observation I had for Floyd's 49th fight. I think if Floyd vacates the 147 lb belts he should stage his undercard with top fighters in that division who would all be fighting for his vacant belts...with he himself headlining the card of coarse. So the likes of fighters like: Thurman vs Porter, Marquez vs Maythesse, Brandon Rios vs Maidanna and Guerrero vs Algeri for the WBA, WBC, WBO and The Ring Welterweight titles. With Floyd vs Khan as the headliner in September. I don't know the politics that would prevent this or the rules that might block the structure of this bout but let's say this were possible...how many PPV buys do you think it would produce: 900K, 1.5 M, 1.8 M or 2 M plus?

^^^way too many Top Rank fighters mentioned. If Floyd fights in September it has to be vs Cotto or Canelo. The likelihood of that happening is 0 to none because it's rumored HBO will only televise Cotto's next fight if he fights Canelo next. Also, Cotto is with Roc Nation and Haymon don't do business with Jay Z and Canelo is with HBO. Floyd's next fight will probably be vs Keith Thurman and the undercard will more than likely be a PBC showcase. PPV numbers won't matter because he's still guaranteed a shitload of money by Showtime.

Manny wanted that shot to numb his chin not for no shoulder injury. Why is no one talking about all that acne on Manny's back looked like Marquez memo chest. I be clowning Manny more but really it's to easy at this point. We know who ducked the fight 5 years ago Manny. Fake ass bible reader Manny. PED user Manny. Sore loser Manny. HBO hype job catch weight king Manny. Disappointed in that weak ads performance by Manny. My shoulder hurt but you smiling and taking selfies walking to the ring. Yes it's 100% fact Donarie used the same shoulder injury excuse after being schooled by Rigo.

The Bay Area @The Bay Area the cold war is not over. Floyd was forced to "fight" Manny. Anybody in denial about that doesn't know how to read between the lines. Is TR fighting on Showtime? No, they took their fights to TruTV. GBP is showcasing on HBO and FS1. Showtime is only showing PBC thanks to Haymon. So yes, the cold war is still on.
