fuck a cop. i know some folks that work for the prison that are genuinely decent good people. But not cops. I would cut a friendship off if a friend became a cop. No matter how cool they are or good they are trying to be.

My grandfather was NYPD back in the 30s and 40s. My grandma has told me stories of even local known criminals yelling "Hey Walt!" then running up to shake his hand when they would be out on dates and the such. He was always a pretty stern yet fair guy from what I was told and actually cared about people in the community they lived in which was also part of his beat. Things were a lot different back then though I guess.

He went on to work as a CO and then briefly was the warden of the hospital on Rikers Island when it was still a prison and not the city jail. He retired early in the mid 60s because "no one respects anyone anymore" from what my grandma said.

Got 2 cousins that are sheriffs in Modesto. One is cool and the other is named "Monty" so you already know he's an asshole. And had a cousin that was a cop in Gerogia but got fired for stealing like $20. lol what a jackass. His wife cheated on him and divorced him. Now he's dating a black chick with 3 kids. Taking some major Ls lol
