I've been looking at apartments and shit online for the San Diego area, and wtf.... How do you even get started down there?! I met my girl here in Spokane, but she's in college here and plans on moving back down to Encinitas this December where she's from. And I plan on going with her... but this shit is ridiculous. I'm a student and work part time, and plan on going to Cal San Marcos, but I'm 26 So I'm hoping I'll be gettin plenty of financial aid help, especially for rent, but I probably wont start school for another 6 months or so after moving there.
My question is, do most jobs pay a lot more down there? Because with my car payment and all that other shit, the cheapest one-bedroom apartments I've seen are like a G a month, no less. There's a couple for 800-900 but not much. Just wondering if any of yall got some advice for your boy. I'm strugglin tryin to figure this shit out lol.

Also I rhyme, how is it sellin albums out there? I doubt ill make enough to support myself doin that shit, with all my "Evergreen State" hippie music (haha, jk)

There's apts here for around $750 but most likely them shits is ghetto. You get what you pay for out here if you ask me.

Stay away from MeadowBrook apts....

Bay Vista apts....

Bay Terraces (off of Kelton)...

The closer you can get to the water the better....but expect to pay the premium..

El Cajon is pretty cheap, but its also hot too.

La Mesa got deals although more geared towards white people if you ask some individuals.

City Heights(East Daygo) is affordable, shit gets real out there..

Check out Chula Vista....National City....and right next to the border San Ysidro.....and all three of those have a dominant Mexican population with San Ysidro being the most affordable of the 3.

Also I've heard that SD has some of the best weather in the U.S. so expect to pay for that off top before anything else.

I'm white, so I'm not tryin to get placed off in some hood where I'm not accepted, lol. Or where I'm gonna get jacked or some shit just walkin to my car. I appreciate the info bro, It will come in handy for sure. It's a lot different where I come from. The whole city is a shit hole but you dont really have to watch where you go, like in Cali

Moving to Cali is a bad idea, a lot of people are just moving out more than moving in to Cali.

Theres only 3 good things about Cali,
1. Sexy ladies everywhere
2. Good quality weed
3. Pretty good weather

Other than that you don't have any reason to be in Cali. The politicians that run this state run it like North Korea, You aint got freedoms here. fuck the corrupt ass cali government.

Yeah dude. I live in Eastern Washington and that's one of the biggest pluses out here, to me. My rent is $450 a month, and I know people paying less.
Damn 450?!

I am moving in July, looking @ an "affordable" 3 bedroom tonight @6, it's $2400 a month for rent.

In SJ you will live in straight HOOD for anything less than 2 racks.

I pay $780 for a pretty large one bedroom on the First Hill & Capitol Hill border in Seattle which is a steal due to living in a building ran by an organization that gets affordable housing for people to keep them in the city and not moving to the suburbs where things are much cheaper. All the apartments around mine list for $1250+ for smaller one bedrooms and I'd say my building/apartment is arguably nicer than almost all of them. Well, until you go about three blocks over and one bedrooms start renting for like $3000 a month that is lol.

I live in a decent neighborhood, there's much worse and much better, but it's cool for me. In yakima, tri-cities, spokane you can get a super nice 3 bedroom house for under $2000 easy. More like 1000-1500 in the right places. Downside is that you're kinda in the middle of nowhere. Fuck it tho, I'm old, basically married with an almost 5 year old. I like living in the middle of nowhere. Plus when I lived in a bigger city I never had money to go do shit and travel because all my money went to rent and transportation. Now all my rent and bills are cheap enough I can go on vacations and buy cool stuff.

That's because a lot of people from Cali are moving to Austin even though it's not all that great. Take it from a person like me who's been living here for 20 years of all my life. The summers in Austin are horrible. It gets over 100 degrees for at least 7 months. I don't understand why people are so desperate to move here. Austin is full of rich people right now who make within $150K-$250K per year or around $1 million-$2 million a year. The is no low class like in Santa Fe. You're either middle class or high class. No low class. Cali used to be great 15-20 years ago, maybe even 30 years ago. I don't know. The same with Texas.

Not sure about the weed part. Weed is insanely cheap, plentiful, and potent up north. Especially since Washington legalized.

Plus I literally can tell people I live in a mansion.

Even if it's from 1910 and now converted into a 11 plex apts (all but my apartment and two others are studios).

That tall ass building in the back corner, the cheapest condos to buy in there are just under a million dollars. The top two floors are actually two separate penthouses which I don't even want to know how much they go for lol.

See, middle of nowhere is what I'm trying to avoid. I found a clean ass house in hollister this past weekend for 1700 but that's a 50+ mile drive 1 way in stop & go traffic the whole way.

Fuck that lol
