This game is good. Yeah there are a lack of characters but they tried to represent all parts of Marvel and Capcom and have characters that are popular in USA and Japan. The characters are well made though. Each has its own style and they don't feel like some palette swap. Rumor is that there are going to be 5 character DLC packs coming out with 2 characters in each one.

every ending is pure shit and most make no sense.....might have Dr.strange, silver surfer,Mega man, ghost rider, nemesis and maybe others i can't remember as DLC....

I'm more interested in the completed events #1-50 that seem inaccessible at this point

their goal is obviously to fuck everybody hella bad for the characters they want, via DLC. 5 packages, 2 characters per package, $10 per package. $50.

as for the initial line-up-- somewhat disappointing. but there are characters i like that i've seen people complain about. Spencer from Bionic Commando is a good character to me. & people fuckin haaaaate Shuma Gorath, but the screenshots i've seen make him look fuckin siiiiiick (graphically, @ least). jill's outfit is a lil disappointing though. kinda generic, not the way i remmeber her.

i've never played DMC, but dante is a beast in the game.

from a business stand-point, i can see why they chose to limit the number of SF fighters in the game. with the level of popularity SF4 gained, its a good idea to let SF maintain its own identity.

Street Fighter has more of an identity than Marvel vs. Capcom.

They ought to be grateful that people remember the sequel to it since it was so long ago I own a copy of it for my Dreamcast.

There's no sense in ever having DLC come out after a game.

Where I do love the fact that games like Fallout add entire levels to games, sometimes expanding on a world twice as big as the one that was shipped, DLC also falters IMO when you have game developers that take advantage of it by including DLC later on in the games life just to try and keep it relevant or to price gauge their consumers.

With a game that is fairly one dimensional like SF or MvC3, where you go to a character menu, pick somebody, then fight for a minute and a half, I see no reason for them to not package the product as a one shot effort into consumers homes.

If this game had 50 characters to choose from out the gate, I'd have borrowed money from somebody to get this at launch, but there's that notion in my head saying "Dude, don't buy this because you know as soon as you do, there's going to be a collector edition that will include every item that goes up as DLC".

i just dont get it...the game isnt that big...7 arenas, no storyline but the intro(s), endings are 2 comic book pages long with some text...they could have added more....the most interactive background they put in was the tricell lab where you could smash the glass and the lickers would roam free...and if venom doesnt make a DLC appearance then no DLC will be purchased....

but if anyone knows what the titles for complete event #1-50 are or have an idea let me know

The only fighter I really do not like is Thor. He is so fucking slow, and I can't figure out how to use him properly.

Of course I wish there were more fighters on the disc, but the ones they do have are all different from eachother. MvC2 had a lot of very similar fighters. Also, the fighters in this one have way more personality than MvC2.

In the end though, this will get traded in when Mortal Kombat releases.
