Gsp is good at what he does tho, what's winning the fights for him, he dosent see it any other way, winning is winning, and its not like he wasn't goin for the sub. Against hardy dude had it locc down 2,3 times in that fight, he wears you down, breaks your spirit, its a mental game first with st.pierre

A fight between Nick Diaz and Mayhem Miller is being targeted for October 9th. Mayhem is willing to meet Nick Diaz at a catchweight, however Nick Diaz has refused to fight in any other division other than welterweight. Upon hearing this, Mayhem made his 'Don't be scared homie' shirt in order to entice Nick to a catchweight bout.
If the Nick Diaz vs. Mayhem Miller bout doesn't pan out, Strikeforce is looking at Paul Daley, Cyborg Santos or KJ Noons to replace Mayhem Miller.
Apparently the rumor that Semmy Schilt may return the UFC may stand true. With ZUFFA's purchase of Pride FC, the organization is obligated to provide all fighters that were still under contract with Pride FC at least one fight in UFC/WEC. The stipulations of this can be found in the Pride FC vs. ZUFFA lawsuit if anyone feels like digging through hundreds of pages of fine print.
Mizuto Hirota's recovery from his Dynamite!! 2009 fight with Shinya Aoki isn't going as planned. It looks like he will be out for the remainder of the year.
Now that Stephan Bonnar has been promoted to blackbelt, UFC intends to place him in the octagon with an elite BJJer as requested by Bonnar.
KJ Noons has not been reprimanded for his late strikes at Strikeforce Houston.
Before Strikeforce Houston, Bobby Lashley agreed to fight Dave Bautista under the condition that it was his next fight. Would not be surprised if it happened as early as October.

Unlikely comeback king Lavar Johnson will return to action at Strikeforce Challengers 11 on Oct. 22 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., the promotion confirmed to Sherdog.com this week.
An opponent for Johnson, who survived three gunshot wounds sustained during a walk-by shooting at a family reunion in July 2009, is still being finalized.
The 33-year-old Johnson earned a second-round technical knockout against Lolohea Mahe at Strikeforce Challengers 7 on March 26, also in Fresno, Calif. Eight months earlier, Johnson had been hospitalized for 30 days and had lost 50 pounds. He left with an open hole in his stomach and had limited mobility. Against the odds, the 6-foot-2, 260-pound heavyweight was medically cleared four months later and was back in the gym.
Prior to the shooting, Johnson had strung together a five-fight win streak, which included an impressive 18-second knockout against Carl Seumanutafa at Strikeforce Challengers 1 in May 2009.
Johnson, who wears the badge of his life-or-death ordeal in the form of a thick, jagged scar which runs from his sternum down past his navel, told Sherdog.com in March that the hardest part to returning was putting the weight back on and regaining his mobility.
“My stomach was jacked up for a long time -- they cut me all the way open,” said Johnson in March. “They had to splice my intestines in six different spots, take out my appendix. My colon had been damaged and my stomach had been damaged, so (it) did a lot.”
Strikeforce Challengers 11 will air live on Showtime.

Fresh off his professional debut win on Aug. 13, Ryan Couture has already been assigned to a lightweight bout at Strikeforce Challengers 12 on Nov. 19, the promotion confirmed to Sherdog.com this week.
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said the event will likely take place in Memphis, Tenn., though the venue is still being finalized, along with Couture’s opponent.
The son of UFC haller of famer Randy Couture, the 27-year-old fighter stopped Arizona fighter Lucas Stark with a 75-second triangle-choke at Strikeforce Challengers 10 on Aug. 13 at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix.
Couture was 4-1-1 in amateur bouts prior to his promotional debut with Strikeforce and trains with his father at Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts in Las Vegas.
