it's also a good idea to use little snitch so if the apps try to call home you can block it, but technically blocking the hosts should prevent that, so little snitch shouldn't even be necessary.

& little snitch is kind of annoying cuz it asks for your permission for EVERYTHING, but at the same time i guess it's still better to be safe than sorry: http://www.obdev.at/products/littlesnitch/index.html

I had little snitch on my old computer (G4). I installed CS2 on here (Macbook Pro) but I never bothered with little snitch. never had problems with adobe. I'd buy you smoke fat slice for your help but I'm brokeasaurus rex for the next 2 weeks.

LOL.

yea when i had cs2 i never bothered with little snitch or anything either, but i think with cs3 and cs4 adobe stepped their security up a lot- i've heard about a lot of people installing it without blocking the hosts and then adobe deactivating their shit later on, so that's why it's good to take precautions.

man.. real talk. i recently got my laptop up an running.. i think limewire gave me a virus. so my laptop wasnt working for shyt. it was pretty much useless. so i had my supervisor whos good wit computers.. jus cleaned out my pc and rebooted everything. You need some topnotch anti virus if using limewire

im coo off limewire. i really think that shyt fucked my pc over

Yup, I had it for hella long and never had a problem, then BAM that shit crippled my laptop, took for hella days to get it working in order again. I mean if youre careful Im sure itll be cool, but I wouldnt chance it again.
