Along with Rockie Fresh, YG has been one of the biggest topics discussed today. Both rappers have released their new mixtapes today. YG released his Just Re’d Up 2 mixtape that is hosted by DJ Mustard and DJ Ill Will. One standout cuts off the mixtape is “Playin,” featuring Young Jeezy and Wiz Khalifa.
XXL talked to YG about his collaboration with Young Jeezy and Wiz Khalifa, saying they recorded it together in Los Angeles. YG said a music video is coming soon for the single and he says it is summer-inspired. Speaking on Just Re’d Up 2, YG said he returned to the mixtape because the previous one had energy and spoke on his chemistry with the DJs.
With “Rack City” originally set to be YG’s single, he spoke on passing the single up. Tyga landed a big hit with the track, but YG said that is fine. Mentioning having Def Jam’s support, YG said he can also be found on projects with Young Scooter and a couple of other new releases.
