West Coast Hip-Hop Artist K9 RU Drops New Music With O.T. Genasis & OYG Redrum 781

Today DubCNN sheds light on West Coast hip-hop artist K9 RU. K9 RU is a name that is not new to the streets. Currently serving, and fighting, a lifetime jail sentence; K9 RU has been generating a strong buzz for quite some time. K9 first hit the rap scene in 2001 with his collaborative effort with fellow Compton emcee West Haven Blast, titled “Plead Tha Fifth: 5 Boyz vol.1”…which also featured Hunnit Proof, Big Nasty, and 9mm. The mixtape style album was released to the streets and immediately got the attention of the streets; including the attention of music mogul Tony Lane (longtime manager of Dj Quik).

Over the years, and throughout incarceration (since 2008), K9 RU has persisted. Lyrically, K9 attacks verses with an electrifying prescence. While staying true to his “Rosecrans” roots, he skillfully crafts bars that cleverly invoke graphic depictions. Check out tracks from K9 RU; featuring OYG Redrum 781 titled “Fresh Out”, and the other featuring hip-hop superstar O.T. Genasis (“In Love With The CoCo”) titled “Real Niggaz” (“Real Niggaz” is a re-interpretation of late-great Tupac Shakur song, performed under the same title.) Subscribe to the newly started K9 RU 135th St YouTube Channel.
