Growing up in Tunica, Mississippi, Start 2 Finish Music Group artist Kronic had a journey that was filled with more adversity than most ever experience over the course of their entire life. Embattled with poverty, Tunica was was so dire in the late 1980’s Rev. Jesse Jackson labeled it America’s Zimbabwe because of living conditions comparable to third world ghettos in Africa. It’s hard enough to live in a city plagued with economic issues, but it got worse for Kronic when he had to face losing his best friend and mother much too soon.
Determined to succeed through it all, Kronic has his sights set for the top, putting in continuous work that has helped create opportunities to open for the likes of Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Lil Boosie, and many more. Looking to put 2017 in a chokehold early on, Kronic unloads a 13-track mixtape titled Audio Diary. Hosted by industry legend Bigga Rankin, Audio Diary is led by standout single “Na Na” featuring Yo Gotti’s newest CMG artist MoneyBagg Yo. Other than Bigga Rankin showing up on the intro, IFLY, and Lil Q are the only other appearances on the project. As for production, not only does Kronic tailor four tracks himself, but he also pulls in sounds from Three Six O, Hot Rod, DJ Squeeky, and more.
