We linked up with the West Coast legend Jayo Felony during the West Coast Takeover tour at the end of 2019. Along with Xzibit, Ras Kass, Problem and Demrick, Jayo came to Europe to promote that real West Coast sound – we couldn’t miss the opportunity to talk to him.
We spoke about his latest album under recorded his real name James Savage “Broken Ground”, the experience of working with Dr. Dre and being able to use beats from Aftermath catalog; as well as about his classic “Take A Ride”, the never-released solo LP “In The Trenches”, the project Rifleman; his relationship with Xzibit, history with Jam Master Jay and memories from those times, and his plans for the future – including a possible new album with Spice 1.
