Ice Cube Considered To Voice Morales’ Father In Spider-Man

The upcoming animated Spider-Man film will explore the life and times of not Peter Parker, but rather Miles Morales. Morales is an African American teenager who was created in the wake of President Obama as well as the famous #Donald4Spiderman movement that called for actor Donald Glover to audition for the role.

At the moment, no voice actors have been confirmed for characters in the film yet, but it looks like one particular performer is being eyed to lend his voice as the father of Miles Morales. According to Meet the Movie Press, Ice Cube is a contender to voice Morales’ father in the animated film.

The actor has worked with the film’s producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller in the past on both 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street.

Ice Cube has been a fan-favorite to join the Spider-Man universe in many ways. Fans wanted him to follow in the footsteps of Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons to portray J. Jonah Jameson – Peter Parker’s boss at the Daily Bugle. Although that would have been an exciting prospect, that never came into fruition.
