Hot dollar is an artist that comes from a well diverse background by way of Chicago, Mississippi, and Los Angeles, California. In 2007 after a bidding war with various major labels Hot Dollar inked his first deal by signing a lucrative imprint deal with Island / Def Jam and Jermaine Dupri. A little more than a month after being appointed President of Urban Music at Island/ Def Jam Records, Jermaine Dupri hit the ground running by signing the Los Angeles rapper.
According to the music mogul, Hot Dollar’s talent was too good to pass up. With the new found success of the street radio smash “Streetz on Lock” Hot Dollar garnished the interest of the industry’s elite and superstar artist’ of his peers such as Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Trey Songs, Gucci Mane, Pit Bull, Snoop Dogg, Sean Kingston, Jagged Edge, Tyrese, Ice T, Nate Dogg, Mario Winans, Guerilla Zoe, Abraham McDonald, Young Berg, He has also worked with Multi-Platinum Producers such as Kanye West, Dr Dre DJ Toomp Scott Storch, Rodney Jerkins, J.R. Rodem, Jazze Phae, Fred Wreck, Da Bizzness, Scoopdaville, Shorty Red, No ID, Devante Swang of Jodeci, LT Hutten, DJ Khalil, Dwayne Da Rock Kane, Klassic , Fingerz , Jay Thomas, Jaray and many more.
