In the sunny city of San Diego Tha Wrongkind record label is a household name not only locally but world wide. One of the biggest independent rap labels on the United States, West Coast. The label is ran by Big Cee Jay and rapper C.E.O Mitchy Slick, the label has been functioning with some of the industry’s best since the late 90’s.
Wrongkind Records is home to many reputable rap stars like Rick Nutt, IseB, Mak90 and Oso Ocean to name a few. It is also the hub for subsidiary labels, such as Wrongkind Ingles, which houses artist Sean Deez, G.G and other recruits from outer limits of Los Angeles like Pasadena’s V8. After securing their very own digital distribution with powerhouse Empire Distribution, Tha Wrongkind has been going hard in the rap world releasing several projects, a short tour run, video’s and Mitchy Slick also starred in the independent film 99 North.
Today we caught up with Baby Bam a long time Wrongkind affiliate, who is currently serving a life sentence for double homicide. From a jail cell the San Diego native happened to accomplish putting together a full length compilation with some of the most reputable artist hailing from the streets of Southeast, San Diego.
