DZ – “Hoop Dreams 2 Rap Dreams” (Full Documentary)

From a young kid growing up in Seattle with a Sony Walkman and dreams of basketball greatness to becoming a respected rapper and entrepreneur connected to some of the biggest names in West Coast hip-hop, this is the incredible story of DZ.

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, DZ’s childhood was built around two passions: music and basketball. Influenced by legends like Tupac Shakur and Michael Jordan, he developed the mindset, discipline, and competitive drive that would shape his future. Whether singing in school choir performances, performing at a Seattle SuperSonics game, attending basketball camps across town, or studying hip-hop culture at Tower Records, DZ was constantly preparing for something bigger.

This documentary follows DZ’s journey from his childhood in Seattle, through his high school and college years, to his rise in the music industry. Discover how basketball taught him networking, confidence, and hustle. Learn how his love for hip-hop evolved from collecting cassette tapes to recording music and eventually collaborating with artists such as Kurupt, C-Bo, Messy Marv, Mistah F.A.B., and many others.

This is much more than a rap story. It’s a story about family, perseverance, sports, music, entrepreneurship, networking, and turning childhood dreams into reality.
