Last week marked the 20th anniversary of Dilated Peoples’ debut album “The Platform”, which reminded us about our never-before-released interview with the whole group, conducted in 2014 during their European tour promoting the album “Directors of Photography” – to this day the last album they’ve released.
We had a chance to sit down with Evidence, Rakaa and DJ Babu and ask them about the meaning behind the album, working with DJ Premier, incredible apocalyptic video to “Good As Gone”, their unreleased first album called “Imagery, Battle Hymns & Political Poetry”, and more.
