Jet Life/Atlantic recording artist Curren$y has announced the release of his hugely anticipated new album. “CANAL STREET CONFIDENTIAL” — which marks the New Orleans-based rapper’s sixth full length and first major label album release in more than three years — drops everywhere on Friday, November 6th.

In addition, “CANAL STREET CONFIDENTIAL” sees Curren$y stepping up to stake his claim as one of contemporary hip hop’s finest storytellers and top wordsmiths.
“This time, I really sat there with an open mind, listened, and worked with a lot of people,” Curren$y says. “I would hear how crowds were reacting when I played live. Everybody loves my normal spacey, slower stuff, but when I do more up-tempo records, it’s a change of pace. I wanted to transfer that and reflect it in the album. I want to make sure I got little something for everybody while staying in my style. You still know what you’re getting. I’m in sweatpants, and I’m the king of being comfortable, but you’ve got to live a little bit too. I’m getting out of that comfort zone.”
Long known as an electrifying live presence, Curren$y is currently among the headline acts slated for the upcoming Atlanta Music Festival and Conference (AC3), set to rock the ATL on October 10th.
