Coolio talks “Gangsta’s Paradise,” DJ-ing, trap music, and more with DJ Kelly J

Hip Hop Vibe’s DJ Kelly J recently caught up with Coolio, who is on the Gangsta’s Paradise 20th anniversary tour.

Legendary rapper, Coolio, spoke to Hip Hop Vibe about his own history in the game and he also talked about his upcoming music with SpaceGoast. Coolio also talked about the changes of the game and the way the eras have changed, as he spoke on the current generation being the generation of information, having access to information via the internet.

During the interview, Coolio also discussed the evolution of DJ-ing, as more DJs produce records, and he also talked about the history of trap music, which goes much deeper than some may assume, as many people he came up with rapped similar topics.
