Producer AraabMUZIK is in hospital recovering after he was shot in an attempted robbery. The producer’s camp has released a statement about the shooting and several musicians have hit Twitter to wish AraabMUZIK a speedy recovery.
The producer’s camp dropped a statement indicating that AraabMUZIK was not fatally injured in the encounter. “Rumors have begun to circulate and first and foremost, we want to let everyone know that AraabMUZIK is currently alive and well,” reads the statement according to Billboard.com’s The Juice.
The shooting has prompted an investigation and AraabMUZIK’s camp indicated that the shooting was random. “He was out in his neighborhood last night with friends and unfortunately the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is recovering now and police are investigating the crime. We appreciate all the concern and fan support and Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can,” continued the statement.
Avatar Darko, who worked with AraabMUZIK on the track ‘Vampire,’ called on his Twitter fan base to pray for the producer. “Pray for my bro Araab! He just got shot but he’ll be alright! He’s strong!”
