As predicted, A$AP Rockyearns himself the number one spot on the Billboard album sales charts for his newly released ‘Long Live A$AP’ album.
Before we released the projections last week for A$AP Rocky’s ‘Long Live A$AP’ album, many critics and fans alike were unsure just how well Rocky’s studio debut album would perform in its first week. The main concern came from the fact that the project leaked in its entirety almost a full month before the scheduled retail release.
Well A$AP proved those skeptics wrong, coming through in flying colors. The Harlem native’s ‘Long Live A$AP’ album sold a solid 141,000 copies in its first week, earning himself a spot atop the Billboard album sales charts.
The numbers aren’t too shabby for any artist, but it would be interesting to know if the leak helped or hurt Rocky . Although may instantly be thought of as a negative thing, the album was receiving very solid reviews through the leaked copy from large media outlets, quite possibly increasing his buzz and boosting first week sales.
