Driver enraged by price of gas crashes in Brockton - Brockton, MA - The Enterprise

The driver of this Ford Mustang reportedly became enraged at the price of gas Friday morning and sped out of the Hess station on Main Street in Brockton, colliding with a minivan

The driver of a yellow Ford Mustang peeled out of the Hess station on Main Street and “gunned it” witnesses said. Split-seconds later, the car collided with a minivan, sending both drivers to the hospital.
The accident happened at 9:03 a.m. Friday. Police said one of the drivers complained of chest pains.
Witnesses at the Hess gas station at 1590 Main St. said that the driver of the Mustang, reportedly angered by high gas prices, was driving around in circles in the station lot seconds before the crash.
Frank Famularo, who works at Joseph’s Barber Shop across the street from the station, said the driver of the Mustang was “flying,” when he drove out onto Main Street.
“I saw him come flying out of there and lose control of his car,” Famularo said. “And the next thing we heard was a thump.”
Famularo said the Mustang was going north on Main Street and the minivan was headed south, when the Mustang fishtailed and the driver overcompensated and the car collided head on with the minivan.
“The Mustang was totaled,” Famularo added. “It wasn’t pretty.”
Police did not immediately return a phone call seeking the driver’s name and whether charges would be filed.
