Berto Promises To Beat Mosley "Steroids or Not"

WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto has fired off some bombs on Shane Mosley. Apparently Berto is very upset over some of Mosley's recent comments floating over the internet, where the former three division champion is taking some shots of his own. In the new age of "internet dissing" - Berto used his personal twitter account to launch an assault on Mosley. Their promoters are still working out the details for a potential clash between the two on January 30 on HBO.

"Is Shane Mosley that desperate talkin all this crazy sh*t, knowing he's makin himself look like a dumb ass like he did with Floyd [Mayweather Jr]. All that respect is out the door. I'll whoop yo ass homeboy. It doesn't matter steriods or not," Berto said.

It didn't stop there. Berto continued the assault all night. Mosley may have thrown the first stone but Berto did his best to finish the war of words by attacking Mosley on every level.

"I want him to say all that smack to me. I showed him only respect, now he's gettin real slick out the mouth. He grew a pair on balls over night. [You] know what, I don't even think I want to fight Shane Mosley. You know he's known for takin them steroids. Prolly got some in his pocket now. His ol lady had the pants in the relationship. Now she's gone so he's startin to speak up like a big boy...ha ha I see you Shane Mosley," Berto said. "Shane Mosley, boy I will shread yo ass up. You poppin smack at the wrong one, I am not Floyd."

Berto's shown that he can get hurt and I don't think I've seen a Mosley fight where he isn't spending his whole time looking for a knockout. I got a feeling Berto isn't going to make past the 3/4th mark.

I honestly don't see Berto beating Shane. I think Shane is head and shoulders above him, talentwise, and will win fairly easily, maybe by KO.

I think Berto is going to give shane a lot of problems. They both have a similar fighting style but Berto is much younger and a bit faster at this point. I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict Berto by UD....This will be his coming out party. Shane didn't help himself by waiting a year to fight.

Berto is suspect to me at this point. I don't think he can handle Shane's power and that will be the difference in the fight. We all know Shane has a granite chin. Collazo had Berto hurt and ready to go but couldn't finish him off. If Shane hurts him, it's over

I will say this, even though I haven't been to many big time live fights Berto Vs. Collazo was the best fight I've been to. The guy's exciting .. I just can't see him beating Mosley.

^ Huh? I don't believe in the triangle theory at all, but Mosley took Collazo to school easily. The same Collazo who IMO beat Berto. Not that it has any effect on Berto vs Mosley, but its obvious that Shane still has a good amount in the tank.

I blame shane for that. The two guys Shane wanted were Pacquiao or Mayweather. It was a bad move to wait for one of them. In the mean time he had opportunities for Joshua Clottey, Paul Williams and other people as well.

luck had nothing to do with it, that was all skill as well as a perfect game plan by Naazim Richardson his trainer the same guy that laid down the perfect blueprint for Hopkins to school Pavlik months earlier.

One of the main differences between shane vs margarito and cotto vs margarito, besides shanes superior handspeed, is that cotto doesn't know how to clinch whereas shane does! Shane would fire off a few shots and then clinch. He was never there for margarito to hit. When cotto got in trouble or backed up against the ropes, he tried to be like floyd mayweather and tried to dodge the punches, but all he did was eat margarito uppercuts. If only cotto knew how to clinch, he probably could have won, even if margarito had loaded gloves.

Shane EASY decision. Berto is good, but not an elite fighter in my opinion. Unless Mosely has gotten old all of a sudden I don't see the Shane that fought Margarito losing to Berto. The top welters are Manny, Floyd and Shane and possibly Cotto and then you have the next level that includes Berton Collazo and Clottey.
